Meet the Teachers

Amy V. Haas, BA, BCCE

Trained and certified by The American Academy of Husband Coached Childbirth® in 1995, as a Bradley Method® Childbirth Educator, Amy’s education includes a Bachelor’s degree in Sociology from Plattsburgh State University of New York, and a Post-Baccalaureate Certification as a Paralegal from Adelphi University in New York.

She is the Mom of two young men, and wife to an amazingly patient man. For the past 20 years she has successfully taught Bradley® classes to pregnant families, and empowered them to educate themselves to make healthy decisions that are right for them. Her training in medical malpractice research has served to assist her in expanding her knowledge toward doing research for her students, and the community at large. She specializes in the field of pregnancy nutrition, and spent 5 years studying with Dr. Tom Brewer, and 2 years assisting with his Pregnancy Hotline. She writes for Midwifery Today and has had 12 articles published to date.  She also serves as the Education Chair for Rochester Birth Network,  is a member of the Finger Lakes Perinatal Forum, and on the Board of the Institute for Family Centered Childbirth. Specializing in helping moms stay healthy and low risk, Amy’s motto for her students is “Healthy Babies, Healthy Moms, and A Positive Birth Experience”.
